There was a storm brewing outside with high winds, heavy rain and thunder as the clock crept just past midnight on November 22, 1883. Nestled in Spring Arbour Township, Michigan state, there was a modest but respectable farmhouse a few miles from the city with no doors lock. That night four people were murdered on the farm of Jacob Crouch: Jacob, his daughter Eunice (and her unborn child), her husband Henry White and a friend, Moses Polley. Ever since then, Eunice's spirit rises from her grave in St. John's Cemetery every November 22 and meets up with Jacob in the wee dark hours at his gravesite in Reynolds Cemetery, Spring Arbor Township.
